Confidentiality, Privacy and Sharing of Information

 

Clients have the right to privacy and confidentiality. Silver Apple takes all reasonable steps to ensure all information shared is held safely and responsibly in accordance with legislation.

 

All records inclusive of photographic material will be held safely and securely by Silver Apple. Silver Apple may request that your photos be shown to other clients or used for media purposes but this will not be without full consent (Data Protection Act 2008).

 

Under the Data Protection Act Silver Apple is legally obliged to protect information about their clients and must:

  • Only collect information that is required for a specific purpose

  • Keep it secure

  • Ensure it is relevant and up to date

  • Only hold as much information that is needed, for as long as it is needed

  • Allow the subject of the information to see it on request.

 

Informed Consent

 

Each client has the right to be full informed throughout their journey, from initial consultation through procedure and ongoing aftercare and advice.

 

Each client will have a consultation in which they can ask questions regarding procedures and treatment options. Following your consultation, a cooling off period is acceptable and the client can change their mind at any time.

 

Within the consultation Silver Apple will advise if a procedure requested is not suitable for an individual and give clients a rationale for the decision making.

 

It is the client’s responsibility to fully inform by way of medical questioning their relevant medical history, age, medication and allergies. Failure to disclose this information prior to the procedure can result in the client putting themselves at risk of complication.

Safety

 

The client can at any time ask to see relevant qualifications, registrations and insurance documents relating to the Practitioner and the clinic.

 

It is the responsibility of the practitioner to ensure their practice and complication management is up to date and evidence based holding membership of The Aesthetic Complications Expert Group and British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.

 

The client can at any time have a chaperone with them at their request and Silver Apple has the right to have a chaperone attend also – this will not be done without fully informing client before the consultation or procedure.

Complaints

 

Silver Apple encourages feedback from clients. If a client has a concern or wishes to make a complaint, then this should be raised with the clinic.

 

The clinic will discuss the complaint with the client with reference to Silver Apple Complaints Handling Procedure (2017) to determine whether resolution can be achieved or if investigation is necessary.
